Bug Club

Bug Club is our online reading scheme. It runs alongside our traditional paper books and provides an alternative method for children to enjoy reading. A key benefit of Bug Club is every book has comprehension questions embedded within the text, which helps children to reflect on their learning.

If you have access to an internet connection, your child can enjoy reading Bug Club books online as well as in print. Each child has a unique homepage and can log into it by following these steps:

1.      Go to www.activelearnprimary.co.uk

2.      Enter the login details.

3.      Your child’s homepage will appear.

Mathletics

To improve children’s fluency and to allow them to practise their maths skills, every child in Year 6 now has a personalised Internet account on a programme called ‘Mathletics’.

Mathletics is a captivating online learning space providing students with the tools they need to be successful learners, both in the classroom and beyond. There are a range of activities that pupils can engage in to practice and develop their mathematical skills.

Times Tables Rockstars

To develop and support our children’s understanding of key multiplication facts, we subscribe to and use Times Tables Rockstars to enhance our mathematics provision from Year 2 to Year 6.

Times Tables Rockstars is a fun, engaging and challenging programme which allows children to learn, practise and apply their times tables. When playing, children will have the opportunity to create their own Rock Icon and play at a range of prestigious stadiums, earning themselves precious coins with correct answers.

The website can be accessed in school and at home on any device including mobile devices giving children plenty of chances to achieve rock stardom.

Hey there, couldn’t help noticing you’re using Internet Explorer

That’s great and all, and we commend you for pushing through with it. Unfortunately we no longer offer support for IE; it hasn’t received a major update since 2015 and Microsoft are dropping support for it later in the year.

If you’re using Windows 10 and want to stick with a built in browser, please consider switching to Edge. Or, if you really want to enjoy the internet properly we strongly recommend downloading Google Chrome here.
